constantly exposed to high levels of noise caused predominantly
by the wind. Apart from being uncomfortable and tiring high
noise levels can damage the hearing mechanism. At 60mph a rider
is exposed to approximately the same level as a circular saw
operator who would not be allowed by law to operate the equipment
without the mandatory use of hearing protection. We can provide
Biopact earplugs which provide a comfortable solution to hearing
protection and Duocom communication and protection earplugs,
the only system certified as as a hearing protector. |

Professional
hearing protection for the music industry |

Despite
being their most important piece of equipment musicians have
a tendency to neglect their ears and to take for granted their
ability to hear. We are able to provide the ER15 musician earplugs
which allow for an attenuation of sound at all frequencies by
15dB (also available in 9dB and 20dB filters). We can also provide
T2XS custom in the ear monitors giving the ultimate in dual
speaker sound quality. Custom in the ear monitors provide an
excellent seal against ambient noise, provide a permanent sweet
spot and allow greater stage mobility. |

Industrial
hearing protection |
|

Health
and safety regulations currently state that in any work situation
an individual can be exposed to a sound pressure level of 85dB
for a maximum of 8 hours. At this level, the employer must make
hearing protection available. Where the noise level exceeds
90dB it then becomes a legal requirement of the employer to
provide adequate hearing protection and ensure that it is used,
along with proper training. No unprotected employee may be exposed
to peak sound levels in excess of 140dB.
In 2005 these levels will be reduced to 80dB, 85dB and 120dB
respectively. We can provide the ER series earplugs with filter
strengths of 15dB and 25dB, workfit (Biopact) earplugs and Duocom
communication systems. |

Shooting

For
those people who participate in shooting and sport as a hobby,
the loud blasts from the guns used can cause serious problems
with your ears if not adequately protected. We can provide Active
Protectors or Clear Shootfit earplugs with the necessary filters
